Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has developed a plan to lead the United Arab Emirates through the upcoming decade, focusing on progress in various areas. This initiative aligns with the UAE Vision 2021 and centers on advancing healthcare, education, sustainability and infrastructure. The goal is to elevate the UAE's status as a key global partner and a significant economic center.

The vision is structured around four key pillars that encompass different sectors including society, economy, diplomacy and the environment;

1. Advancing Society; This pillar seeks to boost societal well being by empowering citizens, fostering family unity and enhancing areas like education and healthcare. The aim is for the UAE to rank among the top 10 countries in the Human Development Index and for its cities to be among the top 10 globally in terms of quality of life.

2. Advancing Economy; This pillar focuses on driving robust economic growth across various sectors, transitioning towards sustainable energy sources in the energy sector and increasing the UAE's GDP to AED 3 trillion. It also aims to expand non oil exports and foreign trade while enhancing tourism's contribution to GDP.

3. Advancing Diplomacy; This pillar emphasizes bolstering the UAE's global presence and influence through upholding human values, strengthening international relations and supporting environmental initiatives worldwide.

4. Advancing Environment;

The goal is to improve government performance and infrastructure development by utilizing the latest technologies, such as digital infrastructure. The objective is to position the UAE at the top of global rankings in safety, cybersecurity and food security.

The primary objectives of the "We the UAE 2031" vision include doubling the country's GDP, significantly boosting non oil exports, increasing the GDP contribution from tourism and enhancing the UAE's international standing across various economic, safety, healthcare related indices.

Unveiled during the UAE's Government Annual Meetings on November 22, 2022, the "We the UAE 2031" vision symbolizes a joint effort involving government bodies, institutions and private enterprises to propel the UAE towards greater accomplishments and progress under Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's leadership. The initiative is characterized by a manifesto endorsed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid that encapsulates the fundamental principles of the plan and outlines governmental aspirations for tomorrow.
